Yes, and IF (God forbid) the child is killed or badly injured in a crash, you may have to face criminal charges. It is worth noting that this seat MUST be installed using the top tether strap - even in forward facing mode. If you don´t have a top tether anchorage point in your car, you cannot use the seat forward facing. the top tether point that some EU cars have have only been tested to 18 kg. this seat goes 36 kg.

If you have a top tether point in your car
If you don´t get caught with the illigal seat
You child doesn´t get injured in a crash in this seat

Then you´ll be fine

Enfin personnellement j'ai pris ce siège uniquement pour le mettre en RF, le harnais 5 points jusqu'a 36kg je doute que ca soit sécurisé vu les résultats des groupe 1 FF à harnais!

I would would tether the seat forward facing if I were you. A 3 year old travels fast forward by 55 cm from vertivcal line in a crash. Imagine how far a 9 or 10 year old will travel - it will be up 72 or more cm. if the tether is not in use. I have seen the results of crash tests of US seats incl. these big ones to 36 kg. They really DO travel forward that far. American cars tend to be bigger than ours and more roomy.

the seat is rearfacing to 20 kg.

Lena, she's only bought the seat to use it RF. Her son will ride in a booster seat when he outgrows the Radian.

OH, well in that case why not get a legal swedish seat that RFs to higher weight and child height? Asking out of queriousity

Because only Duologic and Hiway fit in my small car and I didn't like them...
